AURELIUS Equity Opportunities is to acquire the Renewable Power Systems (RPS Business) as well as the protection relays business, from Woodward, Inc. With over 400 employees, the combined businesses generated sales of approximately USD 80 million in financial year 2019. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions including antitrust approval and is anticipated to occur in the next months.
The RPS Business produces converters and other key components used in wind turbines at its production sites in Kempen, Germany and Krakow, Poland. It is also active in the converter aftermarket, selling spare parts for the installed base,
The latest Enterprise Software M&A market report from Hampleton Partners, an international technology mergers and acquisitions adviser, reveals that transaction volumes decreased slightly to 620 deals inked in the second half of 2019, but revenue and EBITDA multiples remained astoundingly high at 4.0x and 17.3x respectively. Private equity firm CenterOak Partners’ portfolio company Cascade Windows (Cascade) has acquired Amerimax Windows & Doors (Amerimax) from OmniMax International. Amerimax is a manufacturer of vinyl windows and doors focused on the residential retrofit and replacement markets. Amerimax operates two manufacturing facilities in Loveland, CO and Woodland, CA, allowing it to effectively service its dealer customers throughout the Western US. The transaction broadens Cascade’s product offering in the retrofit and replacement window and door segment of its business while also providing incremental production capacity to serve existing Amerimax and Cascade customers in California and Colorado.

Stirling Square Capital Partners (Stirling Square) has held the final close of its Fourth Fund with EUR950 million in total commitments raised.The Fund exceeded Stirling Square’s target and represents a nearly 60 per cent increase in size over the firm’s Third Fund.
The Fund received robust support from the firm’s existing investor base and attracted significant commitments from notable new global investors. At final close approximately 60 per cent of commitments were from Europe, 35 per cent from North America, and 5 per cent from the Asia Pacific region.
