Aryaka, a specialist in managed SD-WAN, has closed a USD50 million Series F round of funding led by Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing, bringing the company;s total funding to date to USD184 million.  Additionally, Matthew Dorr of Goldman Sachs will join Aryaka’s Board of Directors as a Board Member, and Michael Kondoleon will join as an observer. An affiliate of One Rock Capital Partners, has completed the previously announced acquisition of Process Solutions, formerly Newell Brands. Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Process Solutions is a manufacturer and material sciences company that offers custom-designed plastic, nylon, monofilament and zinc products in the health care, consumer, and industrial end markets. Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has led a GBP1.2 million investment into Hive HR (Hive).  The employee engagement Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform secured funding through the North East Development Fund, supported by the European Regional Development, and Maven VCTs, in order to make a succession of new hires and accelerate product development.   Maven provided GBP350,000 through its management of the North East Development Capital Fund, supported by the European Regional Development Fund, with GBP250,000 provided by Maven VCTs. Funds associated with Lightyear Capital (Lightyear), a New York-based private equity firm focused on financial services, have acquired a controlling stake in Lighthouse Technologies Holdings Corp (Lighthouse), a specialist in technology-enabled eDiscovery, compliance and information governance.  Several existing investors and the senior management team will remain committed shareholders as part of this transaction. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Founded in 1995, Lighthouse provides end-to-end software and services to help compliance and legal teams manage enterprise data and the eDiscovery process. AMN Healthcare Services, a specialist in healthcare workforce solutions and staffing services, is to acquire Advanced Medical Personnel Services, Ia portfolio company of Clearview Capital. The purchase price is USD200 million, with up to an additional USD20 million to be paid based on Advanced’s 2019 financial performance. International private equity firm Cinven has closes its seventh fund at its hard cap of EUR10 billion. The fund, which reached its hard cap in less than four months and was oversubscribed, follows a successful fundraising for the sixth Cinven fund, which reached its hard cap of EUR7 billion in four months in 2016. Fund seven attracted significant support from longstanding investors, with a very high re-up rate. The diversified investor base comprises more than 180 investors representing more than 30 countries globally. Cinven targets companies in which it can drive strategic growth and operational improvement, both in Europe and globally.
British Business Investments, a commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has committed GBP50 million to BOOST&Co’s second fund, Industrial Lending II. BOOST&Co is an independent asset manager specialising in lending solutions for high-growth SMEs in the UK. It offers growth capital and venture debt of GBP2 million to GBP10 million to businesses in all sectors, with a focus on software, business services, fintech and cleantech, helping these businesses to deliver on their growth ambitions.   In 2019, BOOST&Co opened regional offices in Manchester and Bristol, with plans to open an office in Cambridge later this year. Axiata Digital (AD), the digital services arm of Axiata Group (Axiata), is to sell its Digital Ventures portfolio for USD140 million to Singapore-based investment fund Pegasus 7 Ventures. The sale consists of ownership stakes in category-leading digital businesses such as India’s largest rural commerce platform, StoreKing, and global micro-insurance company, BIMA. Phoenix Equity Partners has reached an agreement with Souter Investments (Souter) and Manfield Partners (Manfield) to acquire a majority stake in Mobius Life, an independent provider of investment administration services to UK pension schemes.  Phoenix will invest alongside the current management team, led by CEO Adrian Swales. Equity for the transaction, which remains subject to necessary regulatory approvals, will come from Phoenix’s 2016 Fund. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Mobius Life provides investment administration services, via a UK life insurance structure, to UK defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes to help them implement their investment strategies
Broadstone, a UK-based employee benefits and pensions consulting businesses backed by private equity firm Livingbridge, has acquired Glasgow-based Thomson Dickson Consulting (TDC) to support its growth across consulting and actuarial.  The business is owned and managed by actuaries Ann Marie Dickson and Andy Thomson who, along with all of the company’s employees, will remain with the firm post-acquisition in its Glasgow offices. TDC provides actuarial consultancy, scheme administration, and governance services to trustees and sponsoring employers of occupational pension schemes.
