An incubator designed to help fledgling companies grow and thrive in County Durham has been launched at one of the region’s fastest growing business hubs.
Durham City Incubator, based at Salvus House, in Aykley Heads, Durham, will be open to businesses that have been trading for under 12 months and are based in County Durham. Companies will be able to tap into six months of intensive support designed to ensure they are ready for the next stage of growth, with training and advice ranging from financing and marketing to legal issues and business strategy and much more.

ARQIS has advised Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen SE on the acquisition of the Cologne-based CMS Unternehmensgruppe.
The takeover is subject to approval of the antitrust authorities. After the transaction’s closing, which is expected to be carried out by the end of the year, Alloheim will combine about 21,000 care beds and apartments for assisted living under one umbrella.

Noerr has advised the Danish electronics manufacturer GPV International on the acquisition of the Swiss CCS Group in a deal worth DKK800 million (EUR107 million).
The seller is the Swiss investor Zurmont Madison Private Equity.
Both companies are active in the field of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) with a focus on electronics, mechatronics, precision mechanics and cable harnesses. The merger creates a global EMS provider with around 3,700 employees and production sites in Asia, Europe and America.

Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has completed the sale of GNAP, a distributor of industrial abrasive products, equipment, specialty ceramics and ancillary services to CenterOak Partners.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
