Michael Coyne joins Piper Jaffray to head transportation and logistics practice

Piper Jaffray has appointed Michael Coyne to lead the firm’s transportation and logistics business.

Coyne joins Piper Jaffray as a managing director and will work out of the firm’s New York office. He will report to Larry Zimmerman who recently joined the firm as the head of industrials and financial sponsor coverage business.
 
Coyne brings more than 13 years’ experience to Piper Jaffray where he advised in deals with public and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance investment grade debt and restructuring and convertible securities. Coyne joins Piper Jaffray after serving as an independent consultant for public logistic companies. Prior to that, he was a managing director in transportation and logistics at Bear Stearns and was a director of equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank Securities.
