Solinftec, one of the world’s largest independent precision agriculture companies, has secured a $60 million growth investment round led by the Lightsmith Group. The investment will enable the company to further expand its digital farm operations platform in North America and South America. Lightsmith is joining existing investors in the company, Unbox Capital, which also participated in the round, and Circularis Partners (TPG ART).  Additional undisclosed investors are also participating in the round.

Music industry veteran Vincent Searcy has joined Sherrese Clarke Soares’ global alternative asset management company HarbourView Equity Partners (HarbourView) as a strategic advisor. Searcy will provide strategic advice and recommendations regarding acquisitions of or any other investment in music IP and related rights. Searcy’s diligence and respected connections greatly contribute to HarbourView’s industrialised and systematizsed sourcing effort. HarbourView Equity Partners is focused on investment opportunities in the media and entertainment space. Apollo Global Management is a strategic relationship and Apollo clients and funds serve as lead investors in HarbourView.
Ferd has acquires a 33 per cent share in Aidian, a Finnish developer, manufacturer and vendor of instruments and tests that are used in such fields as primary care to provide quick and accurate test results. Ardian was acquired by Swedish family-controlled investment firm Nordstjernan earlier this year. Aidian’s range of tests addresses several global health problems, such as antimicrobial resistance (AMR), diabetes and colorectal cancer. Aidian has tests that are intended to reduce unnecessary prescriptions of antibiotics, which is a driver behind the growing threat from AMR and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.    The parties have agreed not to disclose the

Churchill Asset Management, an investment-specialist of Nuveen which provides customised financing solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, has appointed Jason Quinn as Managing Director, Origination. Quinn will be responsible for strategically developing and maintaining private equity sponsor relationships and sourcing senior lending opportunities in the western region of the United States. Align Capital Partners (ACP) has sold Protegis Fire & Safety (Protegis) to Summit Fire & Security (SFS), a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc, which is owned by BlackRock Long Term Private Capital.
