Martin Rauchenwald, a Partner at Financial Services Capital (FSC), a private equity investor dedicated to the transformation of the European financial services sector, has been appointed to the Board of Barion, a Hungarian payment provider backed by FSC.
Barion, in which FSC invested in 2020, is one of Hungary’s leading payment providers, having built a proprietary payment services platform that delivers actionable data intelligence. Circularity Capital, a circular economy growth investor, has held the oversubscribed final close of its second fund at €215 million.
Circularity European Growth Fund II (CEGF) is three times arger than Circularity Capital’s debut fund of £60 million which closed in 2018 and makes it the largest specialist circular economy private equity fund across the globe.

Floreat, an independent and privately held investment group, has completed an investment in energy from waste technology firm Standard Gas Technologies Limited on behalf of Principal Investing Fund I Limited.
The initial £3 million from Principal Investing Fund I Limited (a fund advised by Floreat) will go towards developing Standard Gas’s first full-scale commercial plant in the UK.
Standard Gas provides a low-cost, sustainable alternative to landfills and incineration and can make an important contribution to decarbonisation and the development of the circular economy on the path toward Net Zero.
