Taxfix, a Europe-based mobile tax app, has raised $220 million in a Series D funding round led by Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG), part of the CAD$242 billion Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers).
Existing investors Index Ventures, Valar Ventures, Creandum, and Redalpine also particpated in the round which values Taxfix at over $1 billion.
As part of the transaction, Avid Larizadeh Duggan, Managing Director, EMEA, of TVG, will join the Taxfix board.
Suntera Global has acquired US fund administration business Socium Fund Services in a key strategic move as the firm continues to grow and expand its international footprint into new global markets.
The acquisition of Socium, which requires no regulatory approval and completes with immediate effect, will strengthen Suntera Global’s offering for fund managers and provide the group with an important US operation for the first time, adding three key North American locations to its international footprint.
The deal is the seventh strategic acquisition made by Suntera Global since securing investment from leading mid-market investor Palatine in 2019.

Main Capital Partners (Main) has acquired a majority stake in two Dutch software companies – BCS, a human resource management (HRM) and payroll software provider, and Pro4all, a construction software specialist.
The new acquisitions will be developed into international market leaders within their respective software segments through various strategies, like autonomous growth, strategic add-on acquisitions and expanding the product portfolio’s. Global investment firm KKR has launched Aster Renewable Energy (Aster), a newly created renewables platform, to develop, build, and operate solar, wind and energy storage projects in Taiwan and Vietnam, with a view to expand to other markets in Asia.
Headquartered in Singapore, Aster looks to invest behind high-quality renewable energy assets by leveraging the team’s leading development expertise.
Aster will be led by CEO Chen Wei, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience managing and building renewable energy businesses across Asia.

Professional services firm KPMG UK signed an agreement to form a joint venture with Venture Capital (VC) advisory firm Acceleris.
Through the joint venture, called KPMG Acceleris, the firms will deliver a range of fundraising and advisory services to entrepreneurs in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on businesses in technology, life sciences and ESG-related sectors.

Abris Capital Partners (Abris), a Central European private equity investor, has supported GreenGroup, the largest integrated recycling group in Central Europe, in a €127m fundraising.
The financing will allow GreenGroup to build on the successful growth already delivered since Abris’ entry and accelerate its plans to scale up its operations across the region, developing unique solutions to recycle previously discarded materials and to penetrate new segments.

Airedale Group, UK specialist in the installation and servicing of catering equipment and a portfolio company of Rubicon Partners, has acquired Network Catering Engineers Limited (Network).
Founded in 2000 by Tim Church, Network has grown into one of the best known names in the industry with a reputation for delivering exceptional service to a broad customer base nationally across the UK. The business employs 90+ engineers and carries out maintenance services to in excess of 60 ‘chain’ customers.
The deal is Airdale’s first acquisition since the Rubicon Partners investment in the business.
