valantic Financial Services Automation (FSA), a leading provider of cross-asset electronic trading and automation solutions, has completed a strategic investment in Velox Financial Technology.
Motorola Solutions has acquired Calipsa, a technology leader in cloud-native advanced video analytics based in London, UK. Calipsa’s scalable platform enables businesses to optimise security with AI-powered analytics that verify alarms, enable content-based searches, detect tampering, and assess the health of cameras in real time. The solution is relied upon by enterprise and security monitoring customers around the world.    Calipsa’s unique cloud-based technology allows customers to add AI to existing IP-based cameras without additional hardware, enabling new analytics capabilities on the millions of IP-based cameras already deployed.    Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Software investor Main Capital Partners (Main) has acquired a majority stake in VideoVisit, a provider of software services for virtual healthcare and online consultations. VideoVisit represents the first platform investment for Main in the Finnish market. VideoVisit is a market leader in Finland with over 200 municipalities as customers, including Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere and Turku. VideoVisit provides a best-in-class software platform that is designed to digitalise both healthcare and social care visits. Its virtual care platform enables a wide range of healthcare services, including primary care, home care, home rehabilitation and disability services.
BaltCap Infrastructure Fund, AJ Power group and AJP Capital’s Solar Core Plus Fund have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to develop solar energy generation in Latvia with 30 MW of solar farms to be built over the next three years. The plan also foresees expansion across the Baltics and increasing the capacity of the solar plant portfolio to 100 MW.
Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed infrastructure and SME investment manager, has made a £2.15m investment into HomeLink Healthcare Limited from Foresight VCT and Foresight Enterprise VCT. Existing shareholders also invested £500,000 to further support HomeLink’s growth. Formed in 2015, HomeLink has provided “hospital-at-home” services since 2018.  The new funding will support the scaling of the business by expanding the clinical team, allowing HomeLink to meet the demands of clients and prospects. Alantra, an independent global mid-market investment banking and asset management firm, has added to its Private Debt team with the appointments of Alberto Pierotti (managing director), Jean-Philippe Lantrade (managing director), Alfonso Sousa (director), and Carlos Pulido (associate). The new appointments will support the growth plans of the private debt team and its internationalisation.  Alberto Pierotti joins to develop the private debt business in Italy. His most recent experience includes stints at Seaport Global and Avenue Capital. IK Partners portfolios company Blanchon Group has acquired Rigo Verffabriek and Rigo Verfcentrum (RIGO), a Dutch family-owned business specialising in the design and manufacturing of finishing products for wood and paints for heritage buildings, dedicated to professional customers. Tristone Healthcare, a buy and build social care investment group, has acquired Beyond Limits (Plymouth) Ltd. The acquisition of the Plymouth-headquartered provider – which operates across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dumfries and Galloway – follows the addition of Seaside Care Homes to its portfolio of businesses in February. Panthera Biosciences (Panthera) has secured £10 million of investment from BGF and Gresham House Ventures, the latter investing on behalf of the Baronsmead VCTs. This investment will allow Panthera to further grow its network of dedicated clinical trial sites across the UK and Western Europe.
