TELEO Capital Management (TELEO) has acquired Western Principles Consulting, a Canadian Project Portfolio Management (PPM) consulting firm. The Business will be merged with UMT360, an existing TELEO portfolio company. Founded in 2005 with headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, Western Principles has successfully conducted PPM implementations across Canada, including Microsoft’s PPM systems and UMT360’s software suite, in the private and public sectors.     This acquisition follows UMT360’s recent acquisition of FIOS Insight, a leading Enterprise Architecture (EA) software tool that enables companies to simplify their strategy, IT planning, and PPM. New research from Intertrust, a specialist in providing administration services to clients in over 30 jurisdictions, has revealed that CFOs continue to fear cost and resource constraints as client demands grow around ESG, citing those factors as the “biggest obstacles” surrounding ESG integration. Global law firm Hogan Lovells has expanded its Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) practice in New York with the appointment of Luke P Iovine, III as a partner. Iovine is the fourth corporate partner to join the New York office this month. His arrival follows that of M&A partners Peter Cohen-Millstein and Megan Ridley-Kaye, and private equity partner Parik Dasgupta.   Iovine’s practice is focused on mergers, equity and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and corporate governance and general corporate matters. He joins Hogan Lovells from the New York office of Paul Hastings, where he was a partner.
HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets asset manager, has appointed Bryce Klempner as a managing director. Klempner will be a member of the firm’s investment solutions and strategy teams focusing on new product innovation and strategic growth. Klempner was previously a partner at McKinsey and co-head of its Global Institutional Investor practice, advising pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and family offices, as well as private equity firms and other types of investors. He co-led McKinsey’s efforts in ESG and sustainable investment and led the firm’s global research on private markets. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked at Goldman Sachs

Prometheus Group, a global provider of asset management operations and optimisation software, has acquired S&V, a provider of data services and technology solutions for various industries such as manufacturing, airlines, utilities and oil and gas. S&V has spent over 13 years helping customers discover and maximise the value of their material data.    Financial terms of the acquisition of S&V, the eighth made by Prometheus Group since being acquired by Genstar Capital in 2019, have not been disclosed. 
Integrity360 and Caretower, two established providers of cybersecurity services, have joined forces with Caretower becoming an Integrity360 company. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.      For the 2021 calendar year Caretower reported sales of circa GBP28 million in 2021 and operates from offices in London and Sofia, Bulgaria. All of Caretower’s employees will remain with the group. Alantra, an independent global mid-market investment banking and asset management firm, is expanding its Italian operations with the hire of five senior professionals in its Investment Banking division. With these appointments, Alantra will further develop its Investment Banking capabilities in the country, which currently offers M&A, Debt and ECM services to mid-sized family-owned businesses, corporates and institutional investors. The business will be led by Carlo Dawan (Chairman & CEO) and Stefano Bellavita (Executive Vice Chairman and Head of ECM). North west based multi-family investment office Arete has led a GBP3.5 million funding round in Dynamis, a technology enabled service provider. Warrington-based Dynamis is headed up by founder and CEO Martin Smith, who has been providing greener domestic energy solutions for over ten years. Before launching Dynamis, he successfully exited Sunlight Tech after selling the business to Octopus Energy. The investment from Arete will help Dynamis develop and innovate its hardware and software solutions, alongside a core installation programme that aims to decarbonise the UK’s housing stock.
