Eurazeo has appointed Paul Hermelin as Senior Advisor to the Group. Currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Capgemini, where he previously served as CEO and then as Chairman and CEO for a total of 18 years, Hermelin is one of the most esteemed figures in consulting and digital services worldwide.  Under his guidance and stewardship, Capgemini has become one of the world’s leading players in the transformation and digitalisation of companies and their business processes, with more than 300,000 employees in 50 countries.

Alternative credit investment firm Crescent Capital Group has held the final close of its third direct lending fund, Crescent Direct Lending Fund III (CDL Fund III), raising USD6 billion in investable capital including targeted leverage and separately managed accounts investing alongside the fund.
AURELIUS has acquired Ceramic Tile Distributors (CTD) in a carve-out transaction from parent company, Saint-Gobain (ISIN: FR0000125007). The transaction will be completed by AURELIUS’ co-investment structure with AURELIUS European Opportunities Fund IV controlling a 70 per cent stake and AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co KGaA (ISIN: DE000A0JK2A8) controlling 30 per cent.  The transaction is expected to close during Q1 2022.
The Ageras Group announced today that it closed a EUR30 million investment round raised from a group of European and American investors. Among seven new investors, Centripetal Capital and Saeid Esmaeilzadeh are participating and joining existing investors Investcorp Technology Partners, Lugard Road Capital and Roosgruppen, which all are participating in the round.  The capital will help Ageras accelerate the expansion of its small business-focused financial services software and accounting marketplace.
Sólides, a Brazil-based  HRTech for small and medium-sized companies, has secured USD100 million in a Series B round led by Warburg Pincus. This is one of the largest capital raises by a technology company focused on human resources management in Latin America to-date. This is the second round of investments by Sólides. The first round – of BRL14 million – was carried out by DGF Investimentos in 2019 and paved the way for the company to compete for leadership in the national market.
Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC) has expanded its senior team with the appointment of experienced finance professional, Simon Sotomey as Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance and operations functions which were merged last year. Sotomey joined SASC in July 2021 as interim CFO and has now taken on the role permanently. He has substantial experience within financial services and has held senior positions spanning finance, operations, compliance and regulation.   Prior to joining SASC, Sotomey was Chief Financial Operating Officer at Hanson Asset Management holding Senior Management Functions including the Executive Director Function (SMF3), Compliance Oversight Function (SMF16) and
MindFi, an Asia-based corporate mental health and wellness platform, has closed an oversubscribed USD2 million seed funding round that saw participation from existing investor M Venture Partners and Global Founders Capital fund, a backer of Canva and Slack. Carousell co-founder Marcus Tan, Carro executive Kenji Narushima and Spin co-founder Derrick Ko also joined the round, among other prominent angel investors in US and Asia. CVC Credit has provided unitranche debt facilities to support the growth strategy of German pet food business AlphaPet. CVC will support the ongoing organic and acquisitive growth of the business, including the recent acquisition of Arden Grange, a UK-based premium pet food brand, through the provision of a term loan as well as a committed acquisition facility.    Established in2016, AlphaPet has grown rapidly through both organic growth and scaled via acquisition. The addition of Arden Grange greatly complements the existing brands and expands the business’s footprint into new geographies.
Funds managed by Ares Management Corporation’s Alternative Credit strategy and Real Estate Group have acquired Capital Automotive (CARS) from a Brookfield private real estate fund for USD3.8 billion.
