GAM Investments has entered into a strategic partnership with Liberty Street Advisors (Liberty Street) to provide clients with access to leading late-stage privately-owned technology and innovation-driven companies.
In partnership with Liberty Street, GAM plans to launch a capability which will leverage the expertise of Liberty Street’s private markets investment team. This capability will give clients the opportunity to gain exposure to a market which has historically been difficult for them to access.

Vensica Therapeutics (Vensica), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, has closed a USD19 million investment round.
Vensica executed a strategic collaboration agreement with Merz Therapeutics in 2021 and the Merz Group is participating in Vensica’s financing with up to USD3 million, bringing the total round to up to USD19 million. The round was led by Israel Biotech Fund (IBF) with the participation of Laborie, Lew Pell, Agriline, and The Trendlines Group.

Reliance Health, an emerging markets-focused digital healthcare provider, has secured USD40 million in a Series B funding round led by General Atlantic.
Partech, Picus Capital, Tencent Exploration, AAIC (Asia Africa Investment and Consulting), P1 Ventures, Laerdal Million Lives Fund, M3, Inc, and Arvantis Social Foundation also participated.

O2 Investment Partners has appointed Andrew Faubel as the firm’s newest Jr Vice President.
Prior to joining O2, Faubel was with Crescent Cove, a TMT focused multi-strategy investment firm based in San Francisco.
Prior to that, he was with Evercore in New York and San Francisco, advising corporate clients on M&A and capital markets transactions, having begun his career at Bank of America in New York, advising institutional and ultra high net worth clients on investment strategy.

BTIG has appointed Alex Alden as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions and Financial Technology within its Investment Banking division.
Alden will oversee the firm’s efforts to deliver a complete set of advisory and capital solutions to BTIG’s financial services and financial technology clients globally. In his new role with the firm, he will be based in BTIG’s San Francisco office and report to Matt Clark, Global Head of Investment Banking.

Litigation investment company, Henderson & Jones (H&J), has received an initial GBP5 million working capital facility from Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance to support its growth ambitions.
H&J, which is headquartered in London with office premises in the Midlands, specialises in the purchase of claims from insolvent companies, delivering returns through effective and strategic litigation while bearing the associated cost and risk.
