Calculus Capital portfolio company ActiveOps has completed a successful Initial Public Offering on the Alternative Investment Market, generating an impressive 6x return for Calculus EIS investors.
ActiveOps has placed 45 million shares with institutional investors, raising gross proceeds of GBP76 million for selling shareholders, including Calculus Capital. The placing price of 168 pence values the company at GBP120 million. Dealing commenced at 8am this morning.

Berlin-based biotech Bluu Biosciences has closed its seed funding round at 7 million euros less than 10 months after its foundation.
Bluu Biosciences is the first company in Europe to specialise in the development and production of cell-based fish. There is currently only a handful of other companies active in this field worldwide. Global food and impact investors such as Manta Ray Ventures (UK), CPT Capital (UK), Lever VC (USA), Norrsken (SE) and Be8 (GER) participated in the investment round. Unified Comms, Contact Centre and Cyber Solutions provider, Babble, has acquired 81G Blue. The deal is the third completed in three months and the seventh since the start of 2020.
The deal continues Babble’s rapid buy and build strategy, which has been complemented by robust organic growth over the last 12 months.
