Victory Park Capital (VPC), a leading global alternative investment firm, has closed a multi-year credit facility with Cap Hill Brands, a technology-driven consumer goods platform that acquires and operates e-commerce brands with an initial focus on Amazon-first brands.  The credit facility marks the third deal that VPC has closed in the e-commerce sector since Q3 of last year, having most recently closed a credit facility with Perch, which also acquires and operates Amazon third-party sellers.   Cap Hill Brands was founded in July 2020 by Kevin Saliba and Jason LeeKeenan, two former Zulily executives who helped grow the business into
Seek Now, a technology-enabled inspection platform and services provider to the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry, has received a significant minority investment from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), an entrepreneur-centric growth equity firm exclusively focused on internet, software, and information services companies.  Financial terms of the investment have not been disclosed.  This represents Seek Now’s first outside institutional capital investment and furthers the company’s mission to virtualise the claims adjustment model through reducing the nation’s top carriers’ claim cycle time and providing exemplary customer service through its data-driven, technology-enabled offering.   Seek Now, co-headquartered in Louisville, KY and Atlanta, GA
Avision Sales Group, an Osceola Capital portfolio company, has completed the acquisition of six additional companies: Angel-Cotton Associates, Apex Commercial Kitchen, Demlow Marketing, Mid-America Sales, Plexus Reps, and TRC Marketing.  These partnerships strengthen Avision’s presence in the Midwest and South, and expand coverage to the Central and Western regions of the US to establish a national footprint across 46 states.   Angel-Cotton Associates was founded in 1993 and services janitorial and hygiene manufacturers on the West Coast. Ogier has assisted Bristows, representing Waterland Private Equity Investments, in its GBP1.1 billion acquisition of the Priory Group from Acadia Healthcare Company.  The deal is the latest in Ogier’s work with significant private equity clients in relation to their acquisition structures. Waterland, one of the best performing private equity firms globally, said it would combine the Priory Group with MEDIAN, Germany’s largest provider of rehabilitation and neurology treatments, to create “Europe’s leading rehabilitation and mental health services providers”. Two of the leading independent online comparison sites for personal finance in the Nordic region, Sambla and Advisa, are to merge.  Nordic Capital will be the majority owner of the combined company and will actively support it in the next phase of its expansion.  The combination of Sambla and Advisa creates one of the largest players in the Nordic region within loan intermediation, as both companies have strong platforms to continue to build on. Duff & Phelps, the world’s premier provider of governance, risk and transparency solutions, today announced that it has appointed Kris Carpen as Senior Director within its Global Restructuring Advisory practice, based in London.  Carpen has over 20 years of experience in providing restructuring advise and support to underperforming businesses and their stakeholders. He joins Duff & Phelps after three years as a director of restructuring at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M). Fathom, a portfolio company of private equity firm CORE Industrial Partners (CORE), has acquired Summit Tooling, and Summit Plastics (collectively Summit), a precision tooling and injection moulding services provider, by CORE portfolio company Fathom.   Summit is the fourth add-on acquisition to the Fathom platform following CORE’s initial investment in 2018.   Founded in 1996, Summit provides high-quality plastic injection mould design, precision mould-making and close-tolerance injection moulding with a specialty in small-to-medium prototype injection moulds.  Utilizing a fleet of more than 30 machines, Summit primarily serves long-tenured customers in the medical and packaging end markets.   The Company’s in-house
BC Partners owned DentalPro, a private dentistry practice in Italy, is to acquire Vitaldent Italia from JB Capital.  The agreement will see DentalPro take control of Vitaldent’s 80 dental practices and integrate them into DentalPro’s network and brand. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.    On completion, DentalPro will have cemented its position as the leading Italian dentistry group and will become the seventh largest private healthcare business in the country. British health technology company Visionable has appointed David Walker to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective immediately. 
The Carlyle Group has agreed to increase its shareholding in VARO Energy, an energy company active in North West Europe. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, sees Carlyle acquire the stake in VARO currently owned by Reggeborgh, a Dutch private investment company. Vitol Group’s shareholding in VARO remains unchanged.   Founded in 2012 with the acquisition of the Cressier Refinery (CH), VARO has grown rapidly to become one of the leading energy transition focused downstream businesses in North West Europe. Significant additions to the platform include the majority shares in the Bayernoil refineries, and a merger with Argos.
