Round2 Capital, an Austrian investment fund for growth financing, has invested a seven-figure sum in the Swiss EdTech scale-up Avallain.  Round2 Capital is among Europe’s premier revenue-based financing ventures. OpenFin, the operating system (OS) of finance, has secured a strategic investment from SC Ventures, the innovation, fintech investment and ventures arm of international banking group, Standard Chartered. The capital will accelerate new product development and brings OpenFin’s total funding to date to USD50 million. Upvest, a Berlin-based startup offering the first plug-and-play pan-European securities API, has secured an additional EUR5 million in funding. The latest financing round was led by Earlybird and ensured the close of the Series A+. This additional funding follows an initial EUR7 million investment from Notion Capital, HV Capital and Partech. Charterhouse Capital Partners (Charterhouse) is to invest in Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP), a professional advisory firm specialising in pensions, investment consulting and insurance. Charterhouse is partnering with the Partner group of LCP to acquire the Inflexion minority stake.
