Private markets asset management firm Hamilton Lane has appointed longtime Managing Director Paul Yett to the role of Director of ESG & Sustainability.  Hamilton Lane has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to ESG, sustainability and responsible investing, and Yett will focus on expanding and formally spearheading the firm’s ESG integration strategy going forward.   His responsibilities will include managing ESG integration throughout the investment processes across the Fund, Direct Investment, Secondary, Real Asset and Direct Credit teams; driving ESG policy development and advising deal teams during due diligence; supporting clients, government entities and other stakeholders in regards to ESG and sustainability
BMS Group, an independent specialist (re)insurance broker, has appointed Jason Stone as Managing Director, BMS Canada Private Equity, M&A division, effective immediately.  Stone will report to Brian Gomes, President & CEO of BMS Canada, and will be based in Toronto.   Stone will lead the Canadian Private Equity and M&A team and focus on expanding BMS’s global private equity and M&A platform and will sit on the BMS Global PEMAT Executive Committee.   Stone joins BMS from Aon, where he most recently served as senior vice president at the M&A and Transaction Solutions team, specialising in placements of transaction liability

VNX Exchange, a Luxembourg-based digital asset investment platform, has completed the first VC deal in Europe utilising blockchain tech. The deal sees the issue of EUR1.1 million of asset-backed tokens linked to the investment into Streami Inc, a South Korean blockchain company.
