ACA Compliance Group (ACA) has appointed Shvetank Shah as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Board of Directors effective immediately. Shvetank previously worked at Gartner where he held many leadership roles including Senior Vice President of its Technology & Service Provider practice. Shah will be based in ACA’s Silver Spring, MD office.
As ACA’s CEO, Shah will oversee all global operations and the corporate growth strategy. His responsibilities will include executive leadership, management, strategic vision, and accelerating the growth of the business.

Hedge fund and private equity investors to focus 2020 due diligence efforts on alternative data compliance, says Corgentum survey.The vast majority (83 per cent) of hedge fund and private equity investors intend to continue increasing the resources they allocate to analysing compliance procedures surrounding alternative investment managers use of third-party research including expert networks.
That’s according to the results of a new survey by Corgentum Consulting, a provider of operational due diligence reviews and background investigations.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has issued a final set of regulations to implement the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA).

Private investment group Floreat has invested in Air Lease Corporation’s (ALC) new asset-backed securitisation (ABS).Known as Thunderbolt III, the newly-formed entity (Thunderbolt III Aircraft Lease Limited) will purchase a portfolio of 19 commercial aircraft on operating lease to 18 airlines in 15 countries. The airlines are diversified globally and over half are national flag carriers. Names include Vueling, Air France, China Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas.
The structure includes two series of fixed rate notes and equity certificates. Floreat is the largest single investor in the equity certificates, with USD25 million invested.

The Lakes Distillery, a Cumbrian-based whisky distiller, has secured a GBP4.25 million investment from Comhar Capital, to support its ambitious growth plans.With its investment Comhar Capital has acquired a minority share in the business. The funding will support The Lakes’ ongoing capital investment programme and continued growth in maturing whisky stocks as the business begins to develop internationally.
The Lakes Distillery (The Lakes) was established close to Bassenthwaite Lake in 2011 under the leadership of Nigel Mills and Paul Currie.
