YFM Equity Partners (YFM) has appointed Aaron Lowery as Investment Manager. Based in the Leeds office, Lowery will focus on supporting YFM’s new investment activity, working with the existing team to deploy funds into growing businesses at points of transformational change.
AMP Capital has closed its Global Infrastructure Fund II (GIF II) at US$3.4bn. The fund reached final close on 27 December 2019, exceeding its US$3bn target and drawing additional significant co-investment commitments.GIF II attracted global interest, with commitments from more than 60 institutional clients from across the globe, including Japan, Singapore and Australia; the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland; Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates; the United States and Canada. These investors include public and corporate pension funds, fund of funds, insurance companies, family offices and sovereign wealth funds.

Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has promoted Andrew Schwartz to partner. MacNeill Pride Group (MPG), a diversified global designer and manufacturer of sporting goods and related products, has purchased Outdoor Recreation Company of America (ORCA), a supplier of premium coolers, drinkware and other outdoor accessories. Terms have not been disclosed.ORCA will continue to operate from its Nashville headquarters. Founded in 2012, its product line includes hard-sided coolers, soft-sided backpack style coolers and a full line of stainless steel drinkware. Foresight Group (Foresight), an independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, is to make a GBP3.9 million investment into disruptive subsea surveying company Rovco.The investment comprises GBP2.0 million from the Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund and GBP1.9 million from Foresight VCTs. The investment was part of a larger round totalling GBP5 million which included funds from existing shareholders.
