An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, a private investment firm specialising in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, is to sell SOS Security (SOS), a provider of outsourced security services and solutions. Terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
SOS specialises in providing security and protection services to clients across a wide range of industries such as financial services, retail, technology and communications, real estate and property management, hospitality and entertainment, and government. The Company has offices in approximately 70 cities across the US and has carried out security work in more than 80 countries.

London-based specialist investment firm Quilam Capital has launched a new strategic partnership with the US investment firm Wafra Capital Partners (WCP).
The new venture, Quilam Special Opportunities Limited, will sit complementary to the existing Quilam Capital business. However, with the support of WCP, the new vehicle plans to deploy several hundred million pounds over the next five years in the UK and European speciality finance markets.

Financial terms of the investment have not been disclosed.

Sports-betting and data technology start-up Mercurius is delighted to announce it has achieved its target of raising EUR500,000 in second fundraising round.
The Milan-based company has now raised a total of EUR800,000 from two funding rounds and will use the money raised to enhance and develop its sports-trading product and further expand the team.
Mercurius was founded in 2017 by Fabrizio Machella, the CEO, Lorenzo Malanga who performs the role of Head of Data Science and Mario Ciardulli who is the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Gen Cap America has partnered with management to acquire Griffin Gear (Griffin), a South Carolina-based manufacturer of replacement gearing and gearbox rebuilds for a wide variety of industrial applications. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The group announced this month the syndication of a EUR1 billion term loan B and placement of a EUR800 million senior secured notes, both maturing in January 2024. The announcement was well-received in the market with both the bond and loan oversubscribed.

Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 1 (GV1O & GV1A) and Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 2 (GV2O & GV2A) (the Gresham House VCTs) have made a new investment of GBP1.2 million into bio-bean, the world’s largest recycler of waste coffee grounds.
This investment represents 30 per cent of the GBP4 million funding round announced by bio-bean in April 2019. The Gresham House VCTs’ investment forms the final part of that round, and values bio-bean at GBP7.6 million.

Global Healthcare Opportunities, or GHO Capital Partners, a European specialist investor in healthcare, has held the final close of its second fund, GHO Capital Fund II, at its hard cap of EUR975 million.
GHO Capital says the fund is the largest specialist private equity fund dedicated to European healthcare.
Approximately 50 per cent larger than the firm’s maiden fund raised in 2015, Fund II is significantly oversubscribed, exceeding a target of EUR800 million. Since it was founded in 2014, GHO has grown its total assets under management (AUM) to EUR2 billion, making it Europe’s largest healthcare-dedicated investment firm.
