Mirova Natural Capital wholly owned by sustainable investment manager Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has held the second close of the Althelia Sustainable Ocean Fund (SOF), a fund dedicated to making pioneering impact investments into marine and coastal projects and enterprises that can deliver sustainable economic returns in fisheries, aquaculture, associated seafood supply chains, ocean waste & recycling and marine conservation. The Geneva-based asset management company DECALIA Asset Management has hired Reji Vettasseri as Lead Portfolio Manager for alternative funds and mandates invested in private markets. Vettasseri is an experienced private debt and private equity investor with more than 14 years’ industry experience. He joins DECALIA from Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. CentralNic has signed a conditional agreement to acquire Munich-based web services provider Team Internet from Matomy for a total of USD48 million. CentralNic said it expects the acquisition to be immediately earnings enhancing and earnings accretive in 2020 before any synergies.   The acquisition will add an additional 40 staff in Germany, shifting CentralNic’s critical mass with almost 200 engineering and other staff members based there. All Team Internet management and staff will remain with the business following completion, with the three founders being retained on the supervisory board to guide the future growth of the business.   Ben Crawford,

He most recently served as President & CEO of ERIKS North America, a global distributor of gasket, hose, sealing, flow control, power transmission, industrial plastics, and maintenance products. First close investors include the GBP9 billion Merseyside Pension Fund and several high net worth families. Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has added to its portfolio team with the appointment of Simon Robb and Dean Gregory. The appointments will enable Maven to increase the level of support to its North West portfolio companies and to expand the level of business support to the firm’s growing portfolio. Business Coach and Corporate Communications Specialist, Robb joins as Portfolio Manager with over 20 years’ experience in Corporate and Investment Banking in the City and the North West. FTI Consulting has appointed Tim Hames as a full-time Senior Adviser to its Strategic Communications segment in London. Hames will assume his new role on 2 December 2019. Hames will join FTI Consulting from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), where he has served as Director General since 2013. Hames previously held a variety of other roles at the BVCA, including Head of Policy and Director of Public Affairs. He has also been a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the House of Commons, Assistant Editor and Leader Writer at The Times and a Lecturer in Politics
Ropes & Gray has advised Partners Group, a global private markets investment manager, on the sale of its minority equity stake in Action, a European non-food discount retailer.  The stake will be acquired by Hellman & Friedman, a leading private equity investment firm. Partners Group has held its position in Action, on behalf of its clients, since 2011. The transaction values Action at an enterprise value of €10.25 billion.   Established in 1993, Netherlands-headquartered Action operated 1,325 stores across seven countries and employed around 46,000 staff as of 2018.
