Ardenton Capital Corporation (Ardenton) has acquired Pebbles Care, a provider of residential care and education for young people across the United Kingdom. This is Ardenton’s sixth investment in the UK.
Headquartered in Leeds and Dunfermline, Pebbles currently operates 41 residential care homes and four schools, providing care and education across the North of England and Scotland for more than 100 young people.
Ardenton will work closely with the business’ management team, and the investment will support Pebbles in its roll-out of best-in-class service for young people.
The company was founded in 2003 when company director Luiz Guilherme opened Pebbles House
Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a global institutional investor, has acquires a 24.9 per cent stake in the public-private partnership (PPP) contract for the trains, systems, operations and maintenance of Sydney Metro, Australia’s biggest public transport project, which includes both the North West and City & Southwest lines.
The total value of the transaction is AUD167 million (CAD150 million). Other investors include MTR Corporation Limited, Marubeni Corporation, Plenary Group and CIMIC Group Limited.

Three surveys published at the ALFI PE & RE Conference 2019 in Luxembourg on 26 and 27 November reveal continued solid growth in alternative investment funds in the Grand Duchy.

Shinhan Investment Corp (Shinhan), Samtan Co (Samtan), EIP Investment Co (EIP Investment) and KDB KIAMCO, a South Korean-based consortium of infrastructure investors, has acquired a 50 per cent ownership interest in the Utopia Pipeline (Utopia) from investment funds affiliated with Riverstone Holdings.
Originating in Harrison County, Ohio and delivering to the Sarnia petrochemical market in Ontario, Canada, Utopia is a recently-constructed 268-mile pipeline that transports ethane sourced from the Marcellus and Utica shales.
