Thomas H Lee Partners (THL), a private equity firm investing in growth companies, is to acquire AutoStore, a robotics and software company providing automation technology to warehouse & distribution facilities around the world.  Members of AutoStore’s senior management team and EQT, among others, will continue to hold minority positions in the Company. EQT will also remain on the Board alongside THL going forward. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close during the third quarter of 2019, have not been disclosed. British Patient Capital, a subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has committed GBP48.8 million into Dawn Capital’s new Opportunities Fund, as it closes at USD125 million. The new fund will enable Dawn to invest up to USD70 million in European entrepreneurs that are solving the greatest tech challenges facing businesses with scalable, game-changing technology.   The fund will see the Dawn double down on investments in the most promising companies in European tech in their portfolio and elsewhere, with a specific focus on C-rounds and beyond. Business-to-business (B2B) auto parts trading platform Haoqipei has closed a USD60 million Series D financing round led by Access Technology Ventures, with David Yang joining the Haoqipei Board of Directors.  Additional participants in the financing included existing investors XVC Venture Capital, Jeneration Capital, DCM and SIG.   Founded in 2016 and now having raised more than USD150 million in private capital, Haoqipei is an online, technology-driven trading platform connecting vehicle repair shops with auto part suppliers. Xirgo Technologies (Xirgo), a portfolio company of private equity firm HKW, has acquired UAB Baltic Car Equipment (BCE) based in Kaunas, Lithuania. In his new role, he will be responsible for launching and leading the US Desk in Italy. The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) has appointed of Corinne Lamesch as the new Chairperson of ALFI following its annual general meeting. The appointment is effective immediately and will run for two years initially. In addition, a new Board of Directors has been elected.
