Guernsey’s Green Finance initiative was a big draw at last week’s Guernsey Funds Forum event in London (16 May) which saw more than 500 finance professionals from the City and beyond gather to hear about the Island’s funds offering. The Ogier-sponsored event was the tenth annual conference for the Guernsey Funds industry in London. Quintain has successfully completed a GBP172.5m financing package with Cheyne Capital to support the development of the next phase of its development programme at Wembley Park.  The funding will support the development of the latest block in its Eastern Lands quarter, consisting of 458 homes and includes a multi-storey coach and car park that is being part funded by Homes England.   Angus Dodd, Chief Executive at Quintain, says: “Cheyne is an existing funder of the business on other phases under construction and we are delighted that it is continuing its support through co-funding the next development in the pipeline.

Ogier has appointed investment funds specialist Benoît Rose as a partner in its Luxembourg team. Rose has more than 15 years’ experience in asset management in Luxembourg, France and Switzerland, with previous experience including leading the investment funds team of an international law firm in Luxembourg and as a senior General Counsel role at a Swiss bank based in Zürich and Paris with responsibility for regulated cross-border European funds. HSBC Global Asset Management has appointed Shantini Nair as Senior Product Specialist for infrastructure debt investments in the Alternatives team. With over 20 years’ experience in institutional asset management, Nair will focus on developing and expanding the team’s infrastructure debt product offering.
