SK Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors, has appointed Ben Dillon as a Managing Director focused on investor relations and fundraising.  Dillon will work closely with Jim Marden, a longtime partner that led the investor relations function and fundraising for SK Capital’s three previous institutional funds, who will be transitioning his responsibilities over the balance of 2019.   Prior to joining SK Capital, Dillon was a Managing Director at Partners Group. Five Point Energy, a private-equity firm focused exclusively on the midstream energy sector, has sold a minority equity stake in WaterBridge Resources (WaterBridge) to affiliates of GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund.   The minority equity position was acquired from funds affiliated with Five Point Energy and WaterBridge management. The transaction has closed and is not subject to any additional conditions. Bowmark Capital, a mid-market private equity firm, is to sell Aston Lark, an independent insurance broker, to Goldman Sachs’ Merchant Banking Division. Completion of the transaction is expected to occur following receipt of approvals from the Financial Conduct Authority and the Central Bank of Ireland, and antitrust approval.   Aston Lark, which was formed from the merger of Aston Scott and Lark in September 2017, is the UK’s fifth largest independent chartered insurance broker.
