Asterion Industrial Partners, an independent investment management firm focusing on infrastructure investments in Europe, is to acquire a portfolio of data centres from Telefónica.  The portfolio consists of 29MW of power through 11 state-of-the-art & highly connected data centres, in Spain, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina. The data centres mostly have a Tier III or IV certification, representing the highest quality in the reliability benchmark for a data centre’s server hosting ability. The carve-out, which values the transaction at EUR550 million, represents a highly attractive investment in an independent telecoms’ infrastructure platform with a global reach.  After recent
Investment group Infinity has added to its senior team with the appointment of Anna Kerrane as a director. Kerrane has joined Salford Quays-based Infinity from the Manchester office of law firm Shoosmiths where she was a senior associate. Before joining Shoosmiths, Kerrane spent a decade at Weightmans in Manchester. She is an experienced corporate lawyer who has advised on a range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures and company restructurings.  Over the years she has advised Infinity on a number of deals. Accusource, a provider of  middle- and back-office operational services, has teamed with Canoe Intelligence, in a bid to bring ‘efficiency, speed and increased accuracy’ to the investment management industry. Institutional investors and family offices manage complex portfolios that often include scores of alternative investments such as hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. As a result, these firms are inundated with thousands of email, web-based and PDF documents containing hundreds of thousands or millions of transaction, valuation and performance data points. Manually converting these critical, data-rich documents to productive digital formats costs investment firms as much as $4 million annually.
Growth private equity firm TA Associates has held the first and final closing of TA XIII with total commitments at its hard cap of USD8.5 billion. Launched in the first quarter of 2019, TA XIII was oversubscribed and exceeded its original USD7.5 billion target.
