Gen Cap America, a private equity firm focused on lower middle market buyouts, has sold Alpha Technics to TE Connectivity. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Alpha Technics designs, develops and produces precision temperature measurement solutions for a variety of high growth medical technology and industrial customers including leading medical device, diagnostic and life sciences OEMs. Alpha Technics’ products include sensors and sensor assemblies for patient monitoring and medical equipment; high accuracy temperature verification kits used to insure diagnostic and life science equipment and manufacturing operations are running at ideal temperatures for test accuracy and regulatory compliance; and
ClearCourse Partnership has acquired Crafty Clicks, a specialist data provider and address validation platform. Crafty Clicks is ClearCourse’s seventh acquisition since its foundation in October 2018, representing an expansion of the Partnership’s technological capabilities.
Crafty Clicks was founded in 2008 to provide the UK market with a postcode lookup and validation solution. Since its foundation the company’s scope has expanded significantly, and it now offers clients international address data spanning over 240 countries and regions. The company provides clients’ websites, ERP, CRM and POS systems with full-service integration of its address validation service through its market-leading application programming interface (API).
Pegasus Tech Ventures, a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, is making its official debut as a Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) provider.

Neptune Financial (NepFin), a technology-enabled lower middle market commercial lender, has appointed Kevin Bogenreif as Director of Originations.
In this role, Bogenreif will tap his direct experience in the commercial lending space and spearhead initiatives surrounding loan originations for the company.

SunBridge Partners (SBP), a venture capital firm targeting investments in enterprise software specialists in the US and Japan, has sold its holdings in Kyriba Japan, a Japan-based joint venture between Kyriba Corporation (Kyriba) and SunBridge, as part of Bridgepoint’s recent investment in Kyriba.
SunBridge Partners teamed with Kyriba in 2012 to help establish its Japan operations via SBP’s proven Japan-entry Joint Venture (JV) model. Previous SunBridge Japan entry JVs also include Concur Japan, Marketo Japan and Demandware Japan. SBP was also fortunate to have Marc Benioff, Steve Singh, Mizuho Capital, and Mitsubishi UFJ Capital as strategic partners and co-investors in the
Private investment and alternative finance specialist IW Capital has provided a GBP1.83 million loan to Inglenook Inns and Taverns Limited. The loan represents the latest funding round for Inglenook to help grow and consolidate its regional presence across the North West of England.
The business will use the loan to further expand its portfolio and underpins the next stage in the development of the company through the acquisition of another three freehold/long leasehold sites and the provision of growth capital. The Darwen-based pub group now owns or manages 40 pubs.
IW Capital structured the loan on behalf of its
London-based investment fund, Fuel Ventures, has invested GBP2 million in online tutoring platform, Tutor House, which connects parents and families with tutors either in-person or online.
The site, which is run by education professionals, allows families to search for tutors across an array of subjects and academic levels.

Aryaka, a specialist in managed SD-WAN, has closed a USD50 million Series F round of funding led by Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing, bringing the company;s total funding to date to USD184 million.
Additionally, Matthew Dorr of Goldman Sachs will join Aryaka’s Board of Directors as a Board Member, and Michael Kondoleon will join as an observer. Goldman Sachs will be joining existing investors including Trinity Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, InterWest Partners, Presidio Ventures, Third Point Ventures and DTCP.

M&A deals announced around the word so far this year total USD1.3 trillion, 20 per cent less than the value recorded at the same time last year when a flurry of mega deals pushed M&A to an all-time year-to-date high of USD1.6 trillion.
That’s according to the latest figures released by Refinitiv which reveal that despite the fall from 2018, this year’s total is the fourth highest since the company’s records began in the 1970s.
