TandemLaunch, a company creator and seed fund focused on creating, incubating and accelerating early-stage technology start-ups, has held the first close of its latest fund, TandemLaunch Ventures III (TLVIII) with initial proceeds of approximately USD23 million.
The final close is expected to occur before the start of the summer of 2019.
Lead investor BDC Capital contributed $5 million to TLVIII which is dedicated to supporting the creation of innovative Quebec-based start-ups with the potential for global commercialisation. Other investors include the Venture Capital Catalyst Initiative (“VCCI”), Chicago-based Harbor Street Ventures and over 30 successful entrepreneurs and angel investors.

The Midlands Engine investment fund, through Maven Capital Partners, has provided Aurelius Environmental (Aurelius”), an environmental management and materials recycling business, with a GBP1.5 million debt funding package.
The funding will be used by Aurelius to purchase new machinery to improve efficiencies, reduce the company’s carbon footprint and help to support its sustainable development strategy and strong social and economic ethos.

Glennmont Partners has completed the divestment of a portfolio of five car park canopy solar PV projects in northern France. With a total operating capacity of 55MWp, the solar projects have been sold to the global solar independent power producer (IPP), Sonnedix.
The five solar PV car park canopy projects; Batilly (10.4MWp), Douai (11.9MWp), Flins (10.6MWp), Maubeuge (11.8MWp), and Sandouville (10.4MWp), commenced operations between December 2011 and January 2012.
