An incubator designed to help fledgling companies grow and thrive in County Durham has been launched at one of the region’s fastest growing business hubs. ARQIS has advised Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen SE on the acquisition of the Cologne-based CMS Unternehmensgruppe. The takeover is subject to approval of the antitrust authorities. Private equity investor Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has promoted five senior staff to partnership positions. The newly promoted partners are Colin Anderson (Property), Suzanne Lupton (Co-investment), Ewan McKinnon (Private Equity), David Milroy (Private Equity) and Andrew Whiteley (Property). Colin Anderson joined Maven in 2014 after 11 years in various Corporate Banking and Real Estate Finance roles with The Royal Bank of Scotland. A chartered accountant, Colin has been instrumental in growing the Maven property business from five assets in 2009 and GBP41 million Gross Development Value (GDV), to 23 assets and GBP295 million GDV prior to recent exits this year.
Noerr has advised the Danish electronics manufacturer GPV International on the acquisition of the Swiss CCS Group in a deal worth DKK800 million (EUR107 million). The seller is the Swiss investor Zurmont Madison Private Equity.   Both companies are active in the field of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) with a focus on electronics, mechatronics, precision mechanics and cable harnesses.
