Council Capital, a healthcare-focussed private equity firm based in Nashville, has invested in The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health and The Clinical Research Center of New Jersey (CNNH).
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Floreat Principal Investing, headed up by Jeff Sinclair, has invested in artificial intelligence business Senseon, and intelligent automation services provider Encompass, with the two privately held businesses offering one of the most attractive routes to access this growing area.

Novo Seeds’ portfolio company Galecto Biotech AB (Galecto), a developer of galectin modulators for the treatment of severe diseases, including fibrosis and cancer, has successfully closed a EUR79 million series C financing round.
As part of the financing, Novo Seeds invested EUR12.5 million, including a convertible loan, becoming the largest shareholder in Galecto. Novo Seeds Senior Partner, Stephan Christgau will continue to serve on the Galecto Board.

FIP Lantanidos holds 100 per cent of controlling shares of BioLantanidos, which has a high grade REE ion clay deposit rich in rare earths used to build permanent magnets that are increasingly in demand for the electric vehicles and clean energy industries.
The use of funds is to support BioLantanidos through 2019 while going through permitting and finishing the Definitive Feasibility Study.
CEPRES has released its latest analysis of the North American Buyout market revealing the changing dynamics in pricing multiples and value creation post-GFC (Global Financial Crisis).

Roark, an Atlanta-based private equity firm focused on franchise and multi-unit businesses, has ompleted fundraising for its two newest funds, Roark Capital Partners V LP and Roark Capital Partners II Sidecar LP, raising a combined total of USD6.5 billion.

Noerr has provided advice and support to meal kit company, HelloFresh, on its strategic acquisition of Canadian competitor Chefs Plate.
HelloFresh entered into an agreement with the shareholders of Chefs Plate to acquire all shares in the company. Both companies will operate under the umbrella of HelloFresh in the future. The acquisition positions HelloFresh as the unrivalled market leader in Canada with target revenue of CAD 200 million for 2019. The closing of the transaction is subject to conditions precedent and is currently expected to occur within the next few weeks.
