AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets (AXA IM – Real Assets) has acquired, on behalf of its client, AXA France, the remaining interest in DATA4, a European data centre owner and operator. The deal increases AXA France’s ownership of the platform from 37 per cent to 100 per cent. The stake was acquired from funds managed by Colony Capital.   DATA4 finances, designs, builds and operates data centres and currently provides a total of 27,100 sq m of net technical space and over 140 MW of available power. NorthEdge Capital has held the closing of NorthEdge Capital SME Fund I at its GBP120 million hard cap. The Fund was raised from existing investors and enables the firm to broaden its ability to take advantage of attractive investment opportunities in the U.K. regional lower mid-market. Indar Capital has secured Tages Capital as anchor investor for the imminent launch of the Indar European Special Opportunities Fund, which will employ an opportunistic deep value plus catalyst strategy focused on liquid European equities and distressed situations. Roman Zurutuza (pictured), left Gruss Capital Management (Gruss) in December 2017 to form Indar Capital. He has been joined by his analyst team from Gruss, Adrian Taylor and Carlos Soriano, who have worked with him for almost 10 and four years respectively. Raza Khan joins as COO, together with Tyson Appadoo as Trader and Priti Anda, also ex-Gruss, as Head of Operations.

The EQT VIII fund (EQT VIII) and EQT Ventures fund (EQT Ventures) are, together with company founders and other co-investors, to acquire Saxo Payments Banking Circle from Saxo Bank A/S and other minority owners. EQT VIII will have the majority ownership. Founded in 2013, Banking Circle is a next-generation provider of mission-critical infrastructure for online cross-border payments. Today, Banking Circle is processing around EUR60 billion run-rate annual payment volumes for several high-profile customers using direct clearing access through partnerships with blue-chip partner banks. CVC Credit Partners has appointed Mike Anderson as Head of Investor Relations.  Anderson has joined from Pemberton Asset Management where he also held the role of Head of Investor Relations. Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has made seven senior promotions across its British Virgin Islands (BVI), Guernsey and Jersey offices. The head of Ogier’s German desk, experienced M&A lawyer Frederic Pilorget, has been appointed Counsel. Luxembourg-based Pilorget – who is admitted in Luxembourg, Paris and New York – leads the German desk offering advice on Luxembourg corporate law and private equity to German clients, mainly in Frankfurt and Munich.   Pilorget has practised for more than ten years in Luxembourg, and is one of four German speakers in Ogier’s Luxembourg team, including banking and finance partner Fabien Debroise.   Besides M&A work, Pilorget’s practice includes advising corporate clients and high net worth individuals on corporate restructurings, joint ventures, M&A transactions and
