Brightstar Capital Partners (Brightstar), a private investment firm that partners with closely-held, family-owned middle market companies, has completed the previously announced acquisition of QualTek USA, in partnership with QualTek senior management. Following its transaction with Brightstar, QualTek completed the acquisitions of two additional businesses: NX Canada, a leading wireline installation and engineering services company in Canada, and Premier CC Inc., a full-service cable and network installation company with operations across the United States.   The add-on acquisitions will complement and strengthen QualTek’s range of solutions for the North American telecommunications sector, which include engineering, installation, fulfilment and program management. An affiliate of private equity investment firm HIG Capital (HIG) has agreed to sell the KidsFoundation Group (KidsFoundation), a Dutch specialist in childcare services, to Onex Corporation (Onex). Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.   Headquartered in Almere, the Netherlands, KidsFoundation provides childcare to nearly 30,000 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. A fast-growing South Wales fintech company has closed a GBP1.25million funding round backed by Mercia Fund Managers, Development Bank of Wales and TTI Angels. W2 Global Data, which is based in Newport and has doubled in size since the beginning of the year, is now planning to recruit a further 20 staff. SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement has held the first closing of its fifth fund with capital commitments of over EUR90 million. Weinberg Capital Partners (WCP) has held the final close of its WCP#3 buyout fund on 295 million euros only 10 months after going to market with an initial target of EUR250 million.
