HarbourVest Partners has announced a raft of promotions including six Managing Directors, six Principals and four Senior Vice Presidents. The company says these promotions recognise team members whose expertise contributes to the success of HarbourVest and its clients across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Law firm Paul Hastings has acted for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup as arrangers on financing for the recommended public-to-private GBP1 billion acquisition of Laird by Advent International. AI Ladder Limited (Bidco) (a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of funds managed by Advent International Corporation) and UK electronics and technology business Laird reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Laird by Bidco.

Dallas-based private equity firm CenterOak Partners has launched TruRoad Holdings through its investment in JN Phillips Auto Glass and subsequent combination with Techna Glass. The combination creates the second largest automotive glass and claims-management company in the United States.
