Rent the Runway, the fashion company that allows millions of women to rent designer apparel and accessories, both on-demand and through its subscription service Unlimited, has secured a USD60 million round of funding led by Fidelity Management and Research Company, with participation from existing investors Technology Crossover Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, and Advance Publications.
Total investment in the company now stands at USD190 million. This new round of funding will be used to accelerate the company's growth as it continues scaling its a la carte and subscription rental products, retail stores and operational capacity.

Finnish private equity group Intera Partners has closed its latest fund, Intera Fund III with capital commitments of EUR250 million.
Intera Partners had strong support from its existing investors and a select number of new investors to reach the Fund’s target size of EUR250 million. The Fund received commitments from a well-balanced mix of leading European institutions, including pension funds, fund of funds and family offices.

Gladstone Investment Corporation has sold its equity interest and pre-payed its debt investment in Behrens Manufacturing (Behrens) to private equity firm, Mill City Capital.
As a result of this transaction, Gladstone Investment realised a significant capital gain on its equity investment.

Clessidra and the Buccellati have sold an 85 per cent stake of Buccellati Holding Italia (Buccellati) to the Chinese conglomerate Gangtai Group. Clessidra and the Buccellati family will retain a 15 per cent stake in Buccellati.
Buccellati, founded in Milan in 1919, is one of the most prestigious Italian jewellers. The company has a wide international presence especially in Europe and the United States with both direct stores and distribution agreements.

HIG Europe, the European arm of global private equity firm HIG Capital, has completed a significant equity investment in Royo Group, a multinational company specialising in bathroom furnishings and appliances.
Terms were not disclosed.
Royo Group currently has 650 employees at its factories in Quart de Poblet (Valencia, Spain), Sztum (Poland) and Mexico City (Mexico). It operates in 60 countries, with 80 per cent of its revenues generated outside of Spain. The company's management team will remain at the helm, led by Raúl Royo, who has been CEO since 2008.

The manager of Finnish airports, Finavia, reports that Lapland has been fully prepared for a busy winter season, with air traffic volumes expected to be the highest since 2007, and some 500 charter and scheduled flights arriving in Lapland in December.
Finavia says that the steady annual growth in the number of charter flights shows how attractive winter destination Lapland has become. “Travel operators in Lapland have done a lot of work in developing travel products also for the summer season,” says Joni Sundelin, senior vice president at Finavia.”

Two new white papers from State Street Corporation and the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) reveal changes in asset allocation among sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) over the past three to five years.
The studies reveal shifts that include a significant increase in allocations to private markets (private equity, real estate and infrastructure) and emerging markets, as well as a reduction in their exposure to listed and developed-market investments. The research also looked at SWFs’ motivations for entering private markets, the approaches they had to develop to be successful, and lessons learned.
