Scottish-based business angel syndicate Archangels and the Scottish Investment Bank (SIB), along with members of the company’s management team, have invested a further GBP630,000 in Scottish microchip testing company ATEEDA.
Archangels, based in Edinburgh, has been at the forefront of early stage investing in Scotland for more than two decades, alongside Scottish Enterprise’s investment arm, SIB.
In this latest round of funding, Archangels and ATEEDA’s management team have invested GBP360,000 of follow-on funding, with SIB investing GBP270,000.

Development Partners International (DPI), an African private equity firm with USD1.1 billion under management, has acquired through its ADP II fund a stake in Général Emballage, a packaging business in Algeria, which specialises in the manufacturing and processing of corrugated cardboard.
ADP II closed in March 2015 at USD725 million, significantly above its target. It is DPI’s second closed fund.

Independent private and institutional client service provider JTC Group has appointed Dirk Oppelaar as the new managing director of its Geneva office.
In his new role, Oppelaar will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company’s Swiss operation, in addition to acting as a key figure in the ongoing development and implementation of organisational strategy.

Lascelles comes to V&E from Ashurst.
Prior to August 2015, he was a partner and co-head of the global private equity group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in London.
Joining Lascelles in V&E's London office is Simon Rootsey, an M&A and private equity counsel from Skadden.

PNC Bank Canada Branch has completed a CAD17.1 million financing package for Doxim Solutions ULC, a provider of SaaS customer engagement solutions for banks, credit unions and wealth management firms in North America.
The PNC financing included a CAD1.9 million senior secured revolver with a CAD15.2 million senior secured term loan.
The company will use the funds to refinance existing debt and for ongoing working capital.
Doxim, based in Markham, Ontario, is founder-led and a portfolio company of Strattam Capital, a private equity firm with offices in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX.

Stage Capital has completed its separation from NBGI, backed by funds managed by Deutsche Bank Private Equity (DBPE) and Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM).
DBPE and GSAM will be limited partners in the funds managed by the firm, alongside significant investment by members of the Stage Capital team.
The investors have acquired 100 per cent of National Bank of Greece’s interests in the funds under management by NBGI Private Equity for a consideration of EUR288 million, in addition to committed funding to support and build the existing portfolio.
