The Seattle office of global law firm K&L Gates has appointed Christopher J (CJ) Voss as a partner in the corporate/M&A practice. Voss joins K&L Gates from Stoel Rives LLP, where he practiced for more than 20 years. Energy Access Ventures (EAV) has announced a USD2 million investment as part of a USD7.5 million round in PEG  – an off-grid solar pay-as-you-go (PAYG) company operating in Ghana. The partnership with PEG is EAV’s second investment and represents the start of its investment activity in West Africa. After a Series A-1 round of USD3,2M closed in September 2015, EAV led a USD4.3 million Series A-2 round, joined by Blue Haven Initiative. Product development firm Cambridge Consultants, part of the Altran group, is to acquire Synapse. The acquisition will allow for the combined firms to create one of the world’s largest product development companies with significant presence on both coasts of the US. BlackRock Real Assets has entered into an agreement to purchase GE Energy Financial Services’ 50 per cent interest in the Grandview wind project (Grandview). Law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has advised 3i Infrastructure on the successful completion of a capital raise with gross proceeds of GBP385 million. 3i Infrastructure plc is a FTSE 250 infrastructure investment company.
