The European Investment Bank has agreed to provide a GBP 700 million loan for the GBP 4.2 billion Thames Tideway Tunnel, the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the UK water industry.  Often dubbed the ‘super sewer’, the project is urgently needed to help tackle overflows of untreated sewage into the river through the centre of the British capital.   The European Investment Bank is the world’s largest lender for water-related investment and the backing for the Thames Tideway Tunnel represents the largest-ever loan for water investment worldwide. The Venture Capital Catalyst Fund of British Business Bank Investments, the commercial arm of the British Business Bank, has invested EUR9 million in Frog Capital II, a EUR90 million European Growth Capital Fund. The Fund will invest in up to eight ambitious high-growth technology businesses across the UK and Europe. Inflexion Private Equity has appointed Josh Kaufman as Investment Director, and Henry Arundel and Fabrizia Rizzi as Investment Executives. They start with immediate effect. EZBob Ltd, which trades as business e-lenders Everline and EZBob, has secured a three-year GBP25 million debt funding facility from Shawbrook Bank and Honeycomb Investment Trust (Pollen Street Capital Limited – Investment Manager).
