Private equity funds managed by Baird Capital have invested in investment consultancy bfinance. Current CEO David Vafai (pictured) will continue to lead bfinance. He will be joined on the board by Andrew Ferguson, managing director at Baird Capital, and CFO Mark Brownlie, as directors.
Also joining the board as chairman is highly experienced financial and investor relations professional Tim Trotter, who founded public relations group Ludgate, co-founded Citywire, the information service for the global fund management industry and is a non-executive chairman at a number of financial services and asset management related blue-chip companies.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and Sciences Po in Paris, as well as a holder of an MBA from Harvard Business School, Hislop started her career in 1995 at Goldman Sachs in London, where she was Managing Director within direct alternative investments, the department in charge of the bank’s private equity funds and private debt.

Private equity firm Thoma Bravo has completed its sale of InfoVista, a specialist in service performance assurance solutions for IP-based network and application services, to Apax Partners. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Noerr has advised Payleven Holding on the merger of the Payleven group with the SumUp group, both mobile payment providers.
The combined company will operate under the name SumUp. The merger is intended to accelerate the international growth of both businesses. All former shareholders in SumUp and Payleven will remain shareholders in the combined holding entity.

Silverfleet Capital, the European private equity firm specialising in mid-market buyouts, has agreed to sell the Kalle Group to a fund managed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R). The deal is still subject to anti-trust clearance.
Kalle is a global supplier of industrially produced casings for meat products. Silverfleet Capital expects to achieve an investment multiple of 3.5 on an investment of EUR71.5 million. The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 22.5 per cent.
