A team of French private equity and M&A lawyers is to extend law firm Goodwin Procter’s international practice into Paris, France.
Partners Maxence Bloch, Christophe Digoy, Jérôme Jouhanneaud and Thomas Maitrejean will open Goodwin Paris following completion of their notice periods.

Gibson Dunn has advised William Hill on the acquisition of OpenBet for GBP270 million and its commercial agreement with NYX Gaming Group.

Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP), a provider early- and late-stage venture capital, private equity and strategic advisory services to the technology, media and telecommunication sectors, has appointed Jack Young as the firm's Partner in charge of global venture operations.

Business Growth Hub, part of Manchester Growth Company (MGC), has appointed Tanya Hemphill as Growth Start-Up Manager.
Hemphill will manage the Hub’s established team of business start-up advisors, who give entrepreneurs in the region the tools they need to set up and grow their own businesses through one-to-one support and specialist masterclasses.

Actera Group and Esas Holding have agreed the sale of Mars Cinema Group, a cinema operator in Turkey, to CJ CGV for an enterprise value of USD800 million.
Alongside Actera and Esas, the minority shareholders, Muzaffer Yildirim and Menderes Utku, will also sell their shares as part of the transaction. The transaction is subject to standard regulatory approvals and is expected to close in May.
Acquired by Actera in 2010, Mars operates 83 multiplexes with 736 screens under the “Cinemaximum” brand in 32 provinces across Turkey.

Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp II (HCAC) and United Subcontractors Inc (USI) are to merge with HCAC acquiring all of the outstanding capital stock of USI Senior Holdings, Inc, the indirect parent company of USI.
In connection with the merger, HCAC will change its name to USI Holdings, Inc. and continue to list its common stock and warrants on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the tickers USI and USIW, respectively.
