McCarthy Capital Corporation has held the final closing of McCarthy Capital Fund VI, a USD353 million private equity fund that will invest in high growth, lower middle-market companies.

Cavendish Corporate Finance has advised on the sale of B2B creative marketing agency Twogether Creative Limited (Twogether) to Next 15 Plc, the AIM-listed digital communications group.
As part of the deal R Capital, the turnaround specialist investors in Twogether, will exit the company. The entire issued share capital of Twogether will be bought for an initial consideration of GBP6.6 million, with an additional earn out based on earnings from 2018 to 2021.

Berkshire Partners has held the closing of the firm's ninth private equity investment fund, Berkshire Fund IX, with total equity commitments of USD5.5 billion.
Fund IX's capital was subscribed primarily by institutional investors in previous Berkshire funds. Investors include many of the world's largest endowments, foundations, pension funds and financial institutions. Consistent with its philosophy of alignment with limited partners, Berkshire is the largest investor in Fund IX.

Neel Bhatia, 41, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Green Peak Partners. Bhatia succeeds Green Peak founder JP Flaum, 44, who will become Chairman.

Increased confidence in the Channel Islands’ funds sector is reflected in positive year-end figures from both Guernsey and Jersey, says Ogier funds partner Simon Schilder.
The year-end figures for Guernsey funds under management and administration increased by 1.2 per cent to reach GBP2.7 billion over the fourth quarter of 2015 and GBP8.2 billion (3.7 per cent) year-on-year to reach GBP227.6 billion.
Jersey’s statistics revealed a GBP7 billion increase over the quarter – though a GBP3 billion loss year-on-year – to GBP225.8 billion in regulated funds under administration.

FMC was founded by Billy Joe “Red” McCombs and Chase Fraser in 2012.
