Boston-based private equity firm Bunker Hill Capital has sold its portfolio company, The Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group (SWRG) to Danu Partners, a private investment firm based in Ireland and a sub-licensee of SWRG which opened a restaurant in London in June, 2015.  David Jacquin, Founder and Managing Director of North Point Advisors, advised Bunker Hill Capital and SWRG on the sale. Adarza BioSystems has closed a USD5 million Series B financing. Proceeds from the financing will be used to expand production capacity in its St Peters, MO manufacturing facility and launch its first immunoassay product consumable and instrument platform.   Proceeds will also be used to accelerate development of highly sensitive assays targeting a variety of biological analytes including cytokines, antigens and small molecules. Sverica Capital Management has held the final close of its fourth private equity fund, Sverica Capital Partners Fund IV LP, which exceeded its original target, was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap of USD275 million.  Sverica will use Fund IV to continue its strategy of investing in growing business and IT services, healthcare services and high value industrial companies that have the potential to be category leaders in their respective industries. Gimv today announces a EUR 4 million investment in Topas Therapeutics, a biopharma company developing a unique immunotherapy approach to treat autoimmune diseases.  This investment is part of a total Series A financing round of EUR 14 million from a consortium of specialised life sciences investors including Epidarex Capital, EMBL Ventures and Evotec AG.  Topas Therapeutics, based in Hamburg (Germany), has developed a unique technology for the induction of antigen-specific immune tolerance. CMS’s 8th annual M&A Study predicts an uncertain year despite the record levels of deal value in 2015. In the study, CMS analyses over 2,000 of its non-listed European public and private company deals between 2010 and 2015.
