Richards Kibbe & Orbe has appointed Vincent Basulto as a partner in the corporate department of the firm’s New York office.  Basulto was previously Managing Director of Macquarie Group’s credit markets division and General Counsel for one of the investment bank’s investment advisers. The Guernsey Investment Fund Association (GIFA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the China Association of Private Equity (CAPE). Coherent is to acquire Rofin for USD32.50 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately USD942 million.  The transaction is expected to close within six to nine months, subject to approval by Rofin stockholders, regulatory approvals in the US and other countries as well as other customary closing conditions.
