MyShowcase, the leading distributor of independent beauty products in the UK, has raised GBP3m in two ‘Series A’ funding rounds conducted during 2015 to fuel expansion. Koch Equity Development, in conjunction with co-investors including affiliates of Eaglehill Advisorsand MSD Capital, have acquired a minority equity stake in Trident Private Holdings III, the holding company of Transaction Network Services (TNS). TNS, a portfolio company of Siris Capital Group, provides connectivity and gateway services via a global network enabling its customers to exchange data and information and transact worldwide. Siris acquired TNS in a sponsor-led “take-private” transaction in 2013 and will continue to hold a controlling interest.   “Siris and KED share a similar philosophy on how to drive world-class performance and create value in companies like TNS,”

Accountants and business advisers James Cowper Kreston has advised AIM listed Abzena on the raising of GBP20 million through a placing of new shares. James Cowper Kreston acted as reporting accountant on the fund raising, with the team led by Partner and Head of Corporate Finance Nick Rogers.   Abzena, which was admitted on to AIM last year, is a life sciences company providing services and technologies enabling the development and manufacture of biopharmaceutical products.  Since its admission the business has grown significantly organically and via acquisition in both the UK and US.   Abzena intends to use the proceeds
DLA Piper has appointed Andy Kolacki as a partner in the London Debt Finance team, part of the Finance & Projects group. Kolacki joins the firm from Latham & Watkins. Golding Capital Partners (GCP) now manages a EUR175 million mandate for infrastructure investments from Düsseldorf-based Nordrheinische Ärtzeversorgung (NÄV), one of Germany's largest private pension funds. Under the terms of the mandate the commitment will be allocated to a globally diversified portfolio, with a focus on core/core plus investments and existing projects (brownfield investments). Cai most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group.
