Private equity firm Calculus Capital has made a multi-million-pound investment in Bedford-based Mologic, a developer of point-of-care diagnostic devices that help patients manage their own conditions.
The GBP3 million investment aims to enable Mologic to commercialise innovative medical diagnostic technology, carry out clinical trials and obtain CE Mark regulatory approval (denoting compliance with European Union standards) and other regulatory approvals as needed in international markets beyond the EU, to take products to market.

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is to acquire Interactive Data Corporation (IDC), a provider of financial market data, analytics and related trading solutions, from Silver Lake and Warburg Pincus.
The acquisition is valued at approximately USD5.2 billion, including USD3.65 billion in cash and USD1.55 billion in ICE common stock, and adds technology platforms and new data and valuation services to ICE’s global market data offering.

Specialist private equity investor Calculus Capital Ltd is seeking to raise up to GBP8 million through a new D share class offer for the Calculus VCT.
Proceeds from the fundraising will be used to follow Calculus Capital’s proven strategy of investing in well-established smaller companies with capable and experienced management teams, spread across a range of business sectors.
This approach has contributed to the Calculus VCT delivering superior performance and dividend payments to investors since launch in March 2010.

The Georgian Co-Investment Fund (GCF), a USD6 billion private equity fund based in Georgia, and Georgian construction company AXIS are to build Axis Towers, twin skyscrapers which, when complete, will be the tallest buildings in Tiblisi.
GCF will own 50 per cent of the completed development, while the other 50 per cent will be held by AXIS.
