Alternative asset management firm TPG has named Jon Winkelried (pictured) as Co-Chief Executive Officer of TPG Holdings alongside TPG Co-Founder and current Chief Executive Officer Jim Coulter.
David Bonderman, who co-founded TPG with Coulter, will continue in his role as Co-Founder and Chairman of TPG.

Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière is now a Senior Strategic Partner with Warburg Pincus after his family holding company Groupe Marc de Lacharrière (GML) took a 5 per cent stake in the private equity firm. Additional terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
In addition to an investment in the firm, Marc de Lacharrière will invest in future funds as a limited partner.

An affiliate of Sun European Partners has acquired Flexitech Holding SAS (Flexitech), a designer and supplier of hydraulic brake hoses to the automotive industry.
The business was acquired from Mitsubishi Corporation for an undisclosed value. William Blair and BDA advised Sun European Partners on the transaction.
Established in France in 1960, Flexitech has over 50 years of operations experience and currently employs over 1,200 highly skilled full-time employees. Flexitech operates its own facilities in France, Romania, the United States, Mexico and Brazil, and supports its customers through local partners in China and India.

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has published draft guidance to help company management determine whether information is material. The guidance is part of the IASB’s wider initiative to improve disclosures.
The concept of materiality acts as a filter through which management sifts information to ensure that financial statements include all the financial information that could influence users’ investment decisions. It also enables management to present material information in a clear and effective way, excluding information that is not material.
