Fifth Street Finance Corp (FSC) has sold its portfolio company, HFG Holdings, a specialty lender providing asset-backed lending and term loan products to various segments of the healthcare industry, to MidCap Financial.  FSC acquired HFG in June of 2013 and, together with management, expanded the company's suite of products and capabilities, positioning it for future growth. A report from the Stockholm School of Economics has found that Stockholm is Europe’s second most sought after city for Fintech investments in the past five years. The Swedish capital accounted for 18.3 per cent of all Fintech investments in this time period, putting it behind only London. Gasum is selling its local distribution networks Gasum Paikallisjakelu Oy and Helsingin Kaupunkikaasu Oy to private equity firm SL Capital Partners infrastructure fund SL Capital Infrastructure I (SLCI I). The transaction is part of Gasum’s strategy to focus on the development of the Nordic gas market and energy infrastructure through environmentally friendly solutions. A consortium of investors led by CVC Capital Partners (CVC), including Singapore-based investment company Temasek and Vatera Healthcare Partners, has acquired a controlling stake in Alvogen, the high growth pharmaceutical company.  The stake has been acquired from Pamplona Capital Management. Aztiq Pharma, the investment vehicle led by Robert Wessman, Alvogen‘s Chief Executive will remain with a significant stake and Pamplona will also retain a small stake following the transaction.
