Idinvest Partners has held the first closing of Idinvest Private Debt III at EUR235 million. Neuberger Berman Private Equity has named two industry veterans – Michael DeVirgilio and Cory M Baker – to lead its entry into the brand acquisition, licensing and management industry. Boutique alternative asset investment firm TrueBridge Capital Partners has closed its third venture capital and growth equity fund-of-funds, TrueBridge Fund III. A2D Funding II plc has raised GBP150m via its recent issuance of AA-rated retail-eligible bonds. Regulation is slowing the push for alternative investments, according to research released by Cerulli Associates. "Alternative investments and other non-traditional asset classes are slowly becoming a larger part of the investment landscape," says Pamela DeBolt, associate director at Cerulli. Bridges Ventures has appointed James Hurrell as an investment manager in its sustainable growth funds team. Bridges’ third Sustainable Growth Fund, which closed earlier this year at GBP125m, is expanding its portfolio.   Hurrell joins from ISIS Equity Partners where he was an associate director. The European buy and build market has experienced very low activity levels and deal values in quarter one 2014 dragging down half year figures, according to figures released by Silverfleet Capital and Mergermarket.
