Sonendo, a developer of technology for the endodontic marketplace, has completed an equity financing totalling USD35 million.
The proceeds from the financing will be used to further technology development, fund clinical studies, and commercialise Sonendo's GentleWave System for root canal therapy.
The system debuted at the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) annual meeting in May of this year, and is currently in limited market release.
The round was led by Meritech Capital Partners with new investor SEB Private Equity joining Fjord Ventures, OrbiMed Advisors, and NeoMed Management to form the investor syndicate.

Private equity firm Thoma Bravo has closed its majority investment in SailPoint, a specialist in identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
The agreement was announced on 12 August. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Peak Ventures has closed on a USD23 million venture capital fund aimed at seed-stage start-ups in Utah and the Mountain West.
The fund will invest initial amounts into early stage companies ranging from USD100,000 to USD1 million. The fund was raised from accredited international and domestic investors.

Law firm Noerr has advised Close Brothers Seydler Bank on the restructuring of the EUR100 million bonds of 3W Power, the holding of the AEG Power Solutions Group.
Core elements of the restructuring plan concluded in May between the company and the creditors were a debt-to-equity-swap of 50 per cent of the bond value and the issue of a new bond.

FMC Corporation is to acquire Cheminova A/S, a wholly owned subsidiary of Auriga Industries.
Cheminova is a multinational crop protection company based in Denmark.
