AIM-quoted China Private Equity Investment (CPE) has signed a conditional acquisition agreement to acquire interests in four companies which themselves hold interests in four domestic Chinese businesses. The agreement has been signed with Elypsis Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia Private Credit Fund Limited, which is managed by an affiliate of Adamas Asset Management.   Due to the size of the transaction in relation to the company, the proposed acquisition constitutes a reverse takeover under the AIM rules and requires shareholder approval. The InfraVia European Fund II (InfraVia II), InfraVia’s second European infrastructure fund, has reached its final closing at EUR530m, beating its initial target size of EUR400m. Intelligent Fingerprinting, a British company developing the world’s first handheld fingerprint-based drug screening device, has secured GBP750,000 in funding from a consortium of private US-based investors. The funding boost will be used to support the final stages in the development of the company’s non-invasive drug screening technology, which uses the Intelligent Fingerprinting analysis technique to screen for multiple drugs of abuse and provides results in less than ten minutes.   It follows an earlier investment of GBP2m from US backers in 2012. Global crowd funding platform Indiegogo has raised USD40m in Series B funding. Madison Reed has raised USD12m in a Series B round of funding led by Norwest Venture Partners (NVP). Nearly three-quarters (71 per cent) of advisers are backing renewable energy investment given the inflation protection it provides, according to a study by Albion Community Power (ACP). IP Group has extended its commercialisation agreement with The University of Manchester through its technology transfer company, UMI3 Ltd, to include Proof-of-Principle (PoP) funding for graphene projects.
