EIG Global Energy Partners has held the final close of Energy Fund XVI, the firm's most recent flagship investment fund.
Fund XVI is the largest fund in EIG's history and includes capital commitments from 150 limited partners from 18 countries.
Institutional investors domiciled outside the US represent more than 40 per cent of total capital commitments.
Launched in February 2013 with a target of USD4.25bn, Fund XVI had a first closing in May 2013 and reached its hard-cap of USD6bn (excluding affiliate investments) in connection with its final closing on 25 November 2013.

Ardian has sold its majority stake in Competence Call Center (CCC), a European provider of premium call centre solutions based in Vienna, to Silverfleet Capital.
As part of the transaction, CCC’s management is re-investing in the company. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and other details of the transaction.

Altius Associates has appointed Rhonda Ryan as a partner and head of EMEA investments.

Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, U∙C Coatings manufactures and distributes wood protection products for the logging, lumber, furniture, and woodworking industries. The company’s flagship Anchorseal branded products are an industry leading line of wax based emulsion end sealers, designed to prevent splitting and degradation of freshly sawn, high value hardwood logs and lumber during processing.
The Company also offers GemPaint, a water-based paint used by lumber suppliers to brand their products and enhance overall appearance, as well as other related niche market wood protection products.
Wedo, the online furniture retailer, has completed GBP3m of funding, led by MMC Ventures.

JTC Group has acquired the fund administration business of the Guernsey-based Anson Group.
Anson Fund Managers Limited (AFML) represents over GBP11.5bn in funds under administration and specialises in providing a wide range of support services to companies and funds.
Its clients include trading companies, open ended and closed ended funds and unit trusts, investment companies and limited partnerships, many of which are listed on stock exchanges such as the LSE, Euronext and AIM.

Altice Finco SA intends to launch an offering of USD400m in aggregate principal amount of senior notes and its subsidiary Altice Financing SA intends to launch an offering of USD1,285m equivalent in aggregate principal amount of dollar and euro senior secured notes.

SMT Fund Services (Ireland) Limited has appointed Kii Hub to produce and deliver Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs) for its established platform of UCITS funds.
This extends the relationship that already exists with SuMi TRUST Global Asset Services, as Kii Hub has been producing KIIDs for the funds managed by SuMi TRUST’s UK ACD company, SMT Fund Services (UK) Limited, since 2012.
SuMi TRUST will be using Kii Hub’s full bureau service, which includes drafting, production, hosting and translation of all their KIIDs.

Alinda Capital Partners, the American-based infrastructure investment firm, has agreed to acquire 100 per cent of Emitel, a television and radio broadcast infrastructure provider in Poland.
Alinda is acquiring Emitel from Montagu Private Equity. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Emitel broadcasts television and radio signals nationwide under long-term contracts with television and radio channels, including the government-owned TV and radio channels. Emitel is the sole broadcaster of digital terrestrial television signals in Poland, and is leading the introduction of digital radio. The company owns 377 towers in Poland.
