Prodealcenter has completed a EUR1m fundraising round with Omnes Capital.
The investment will allow the company to boost its development by pursuing commercial and marketing efforts and expand its catalogue.
Created in 2010, Prodealcenter is a specialist in agricultural spare parts e-commerce and has recently experienced a strong growth of both its turnover and its customer base.
This first financing round will allow the company to support and accelerate its development, extend its range of products for customers in France and abroad.

Private equity firm Egis Capital Partners has appointed Bill Polk as a managing partner.
Polk, who joins from CapitalOne Bank, has more than 25 years of debt and equity investment experience and has been involved in more than USD6bn of middle-market security financing transactions. He will be responsible for origination and fundraising at Egis.

The Carlyle Group has agreed to buy Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, a manager of real estate funds of funds with more than USD2.6bn in capital commitments.
Equity for the transaction will come from Carlyle’s balance sheet. Financial terms were not released. The transaction, subject to Metropolitan’s investors’ consent, is expected to close in November 2013.

Private equity firm Brynwood Partners has completed the first and final close of its latest fund, Brynwood Partners VII, with USD400m of committed capital.

The Greater Manchester Loan Fund (GMLF), managed by Maven Capital Partners, has made an investment in ethernet connectivity and cloud services business Vaioni.
The deal represents the first investment made by the GMLF since it was established by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) in August 2013. Baker Tilly Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor to Vaioni on the investment.

OR Productivity (ORP) has closed the first GBP1m of a GBP2.5m round of funding for the roll-out of its FreeHand surgeon-controlled camera holder.
The GBP1m was raised mainly from existing shareholders, including GBP350,000 from the AngelCoFund, following its original GBP500,000 investment in 2012.
ORP is in discussion with other individuals and funds with a view to closing, over the next few months, the remaining GBP1.5m it is looking for to complete its commercial roll-out. The Angel CoFund will also participate in that part of the round, increasing its total investment in ORP to GBP1m.
The FreeHand makes
Mid-market private equity specialist Graphite Capital has closed its eighth fund, Graphite Capital Partners VIII, with commitments of GBP475m.
Further commitments are likely to come in over the next few weeks bringing the total to over GBP500m.
Existing investors provided over 85 per cent of the fund, many of whom increased the size of their investment substantially. The new fund has over 20 investors with 40 per cent of commitments coming from the UK, 25 per cent from continental Europe and 35 per cent from the US and Japan.

Practice Fusion has completed a USD70m series D financing round, led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and institutional investors OrbiMed Advisors, Deerfield Management Company and Industry Ventures.
