Private Equity (PE) firms in India invested USD1.8 billion in 91 deals in the first quarter of 2012, according to the first-ever MoneyTree India Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd (PwC), based on data provided by Venture Intelligence.
The report is a quarterly study of private equity and venture capital investment activity in India, including further analysis by industry, region and stage of development.

Gresham, the mid-market Private Equity firm, has appointed Michaela Ellison as its new marketing manager.
Ellison will be based in the London office but will oversee marketing activity across Gresham’s four offices including Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
Eliison joins from mid-market accounting firm Grant Thornton where she spent three years in the marketing team targeting national private equity houses and private equity-backed businesses.
