Blackstone in Manhattan
Blackstone has held the final close of its energy transition credit fund, Blackstone Green Private Credit Fund III (BGREEN III) at its hard cap of $7.1bn, making it the the largest energy transition private credit fund ever raised.
Princeton Equity Group, a Princeton and Dallas-based private equity firm focused on control investments in franchisor and multi-unit companies, has held the final closing of its Princeton Equity Partners II, at its hard cap of $575m, surpassing its $475m target. 
Mid-market buyout firm Novacap has acquired Cadent, a provider of platform-based converged TV advertising solutions and one of the largest independent platforms for unified audience-targeting across connected television, traditional TV, and digital advertising. 
AGIC Capital (AGIC), a growth-oriented European-Asian private equity firm with $2.2bn of assets under management, has made a growth investment in Singapore-headquartered AP Technologies (AP Tech), an emerging medical device contract manufacturer.
Tech-focused growth equity investment firm Edison Partners has appointed Ben Laufer as a Principal in the firm’s investment team. Laufer is the firm’s tenth new hire in the last 18 months following last week’s appointment of three investment and value creation professionals.
Allen & Overy (A&O) has appointed Kfir Abutbul as Head of US Energy Private Equity and a partner in its US Corporate Private Equity and M&A practice. Abutbul joins from Paul Hastings, where he was Vice Chair of the Energy & Infrastructure practice.
Avid
Symphony Technology Group (STG), a mid-market private equity firm focused on technology investments, has agreed to acquire media editing software maker Avid Technology in a deal worth about $1.4 billion, including debt, according to a report by Reuters.
Funds advised by growth-focused private equity investment firms TA Associates (TA) and Warburg Pincus have acquired a majority stake in Epassi Group (Epassi), from majority shareholder and tech-focused PE firm Bregal Milestone. 
Ares Management, BC Partners, KKR & Co, and Medalist Partners are among the private credit firms that are raising billions of dollars to secure a share of a $5.2tn market that includes US consumer debt, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The National Pension Service of Korea (MPS) upped its total commitment to private equity and private debt last year by KRW24.5tn ($18.5bn; €17bn) according to the KRW974tn pension scheme’s latest annual investment disclosure.
